Players Moving Between Teams: On
occasion due to injury or lack of players, an athlete may be asked to be
participate with another team on temporary basis. Movement will occur only
after discussion with parent and player.
For all tournaments, Athletes are
responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from tournaments.
Coaches will designate the meeting location and time for each tournament.
Officiating: Is a shared
responsibility of the entire team. All Alii athletes are required to help
with line judging, score keeping and down officiating. All officiating
assignments must be completed before leaving the gym.
Playing Time: Playing time is
very important to us. Coaches will do their best to provide players with a
fair amount of playing time. Equal playing time can be difficult to do
because of specific positions.
Grievance Procedure: At Alii we
encourage the athlete to talk to the coach when she has a problem about her
playing time, or she is unclear about what the coach expects from her either
in practice or in competition. The appropriate attitude is for the athlete
to ask the coach what she needs to do to get more opportunities to play
matches.
When parents have a problem that is specific to their own
athlete, we encourage them to first talk to the coach. 24 hour “cool off” is
necessary.
