I played volleyball for Gilbert High school and won a 5A state championship. While there I was named State player of the year and was also awarded Arizona Volleyball Gatorade Player of The Year. I went on and played outside hitter for The University of Texas 2004-2007 and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors degree in Health Promotion and Fitness. Currently the UT school record holder for aces in a three game match. While at UT I played in the NCAA Sweet 16 and Elite 8. I am currently the assistant varsity volleyball coach for St. Stephens Prep School. I previously coached the 17 Cedar Park team for Austin Juniors Volleyball Club where we qualified for Junior Olympics. I have been giving private volleyball lessons and camps/clinics now for 3 years, working with athletes from beginning stages of volleyball up to players who are about to go off to college and continue their career. I am also a strength and conditioning coach as well as a certified personal trainer. I'm excited to be apart of the Ali'i Volleyball Club. Hook Em Horns! Emily
Haas
Hey ya’ll! My name is Emily Haas. I was born and raised in Minden, NV and
attended Douglas High School, earning All-American honors as
a junior. I went on to play at the University of San Diego, where I earned
first team all-conference honors while setting the USD school record for
aces in a match. Following my collegiate career in 2009, I signed a contract
to play professionally overseas. Over the next three years, I would go on to
play abroad in Austria, Croatia and Finland.
During my career, I became very passionate about coaching. For the last
five years, I have worked to help develop young athletes across the country.
At Wave Volleyball Club in San Diego, I helped lead the 15-and-under team
to a gold medal win at the Junior Olympics in 2009. Currently, I coach the
junior varsity at St. Stephens Prep School. My commitment to developing
youth volleyball players--in all aspects of the game--is an exciting
challenge that I take very seriously. I ensure that all of my players are
carefully instructed to become complete volleyball players.
I am thrilled to be a part of Ali’I Volleyball Club and look forward to a
successful season!
